Hailing from the mountain village of Sokołowsko in the south of Poland, sound artist Edka Jarząb creates solo and collaborative performance works that provoke deep listening. A former resident of Rotterdam's prestigious experimental studio WORM and a permanent member of Brussels' Q-O2 platform, she uses extended voice techniques, electronics, radio waves and field recordings to fashion illuminating, investigatory soundscapes, establishing a bridge between the private and the public and affirming music's role as a form of social resistance.
